Diamonds Are Forever is a 1971 British-American spy film directed by Guy Hamilton and based on the 1956 novel of the same name by Ian Fleming. It is the seventh James Bond film after Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The film was produced by Eon Productions and distributed by United Artists, and was released on December 14, 1971 in West Gerany, and on December 30, 1971 in the United Kingdom.
