King Kong Escapes

King Kong Escapes (released in Japan as Counterattack of King Kong) is a 1967 Japanese-American science fiction kaiju film directed by Ishirō Honda. The film is loosely based on the Rakin/Bass Satrday morning cartoon series The King Kong Show and was the second and final Japanese-produced film featuring King Kong. The film was produced by Rakin/Bass Productions and was distributed by Toho in Japan, and Universal Studios in the United States. The film was released on July 22, 1967 in Japan and released on June 19, 1968 in the United States.
